Under a grant from the U.S. Soccer Foundation, Kil Architecture and Planning was commissioned to complete a study for the South Bend Department of Parks and Recreation for the revitalization of the Alonzo Watson park on the city's near west side. The new facilities at the park would include two new soccer fields, grandstands, a pressbox, tennis courts, a baseball diamond, basketball courts, and various other amenities.
