The South Bend Remedy Company Building, built in 1895 and used as the patent medicine firm's office, and laboratory until 1928, had been moved, sat vacant for 15 years, and was threatened with demolition until the Historic Landmarks Foundation of Indiana acquired the building for its Northern Regional Office. This project relocated the building for a second time to its new site at West Washington Street in the historic district.
