Weldon Kimutai
Architectural Designer

Weldon is an urbanist inspired by architecture's capacity to enrich lives, foster human connection, and create meaningful relationships between people and place. He holds degrees from the University of Notre Dame and Kenyatta University in Kenya. After completing his graduate studies at Notre Dame, he joined the Kil Architecture team in 2026.
He is particularly drawn to creating spaces that honor their context, celebrate cultural identity, respond thoughtfully to climate, and strengthen the relationship between the built and natural environments. His project philosophy centers on crafting thoughtful and enduring places that serve and respect communities and the environment. As Secretary of the Kenya Chapter of the International Network for Traditional Building, Architecture & Urbanism (INTBAU), he contributes to advancing traditional architecture, context-sensitive urbanism, and meaningful placemaking. Beyond architecture, Weldon enjoys hiking, running, and supporting charitable and community-based initiatives.
