A native of Texas, Ryan earned his Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Notre Dame, where he also studied real estate and historic preservation. Through several apprenticeships during his time at Notre Dame, he explored the traditional building trades, including stone carving, bricklaying, and restoring historic wood windows. His final thesis was for the design of a building trades college called the College of St. Joseph the Worker, in Steubenville, Ohio. Ryan went on to earn a Certificate in Real Estate Development from Cornell University in 2025. He joined the firm in 2025 after returning to the South Bend area.

With a passion for architecture, historic preservation, and real estate development, Ryan enjoys envisioning new ways our underutilized historic buildings can be reused and preserved for future generations while continuing to be productive economic assets. Ryan is a licensed architect and a member of the Urban Land Institute, Strong Towns, and the Incremental Development Alliance, and is also a Leonine Fellow.
