MIDDLEBURY FIRE STATION
DETAILS
A collaboration with local design-build firm R. Yoder, this project involved the full-scale renovation to Middlebury’s Fire & EMT Station as well as the adjoining Township Trustee’s office. A key part of the project was an extensive redesign of staff living quarters which was accomplished through a thoughtful reorganization of second-floor spaces and intentional interior design. Through updating façade elements and interior space planning, our team revitalized the outdated building and created a more welcoming and engaging street frontage.

Focusing on interaction with the golf course and patron amenities, Kil Architecture worked closely with Tonn and Blank Construction, the design-build lead, to deliver a thoughtful design. Updated finishes, additional bar and kitchen spaces, new golf simulators and flex rooms, accessibility upgrades, and a revitalized outdoor terrace comprised most of the work for this project.
